What “no download” means
Purge in Space runs through a modern web browser. You do not download an installer, register an operating-system application, or wait for a separate launcher to update. The browser still downloads normal web assets such as code, textures, audio, and 3D models, then caches them according to standard web rules.
Start as a guest
The fastest entry path is guest play. Choose an alias and launch. Registration is available for players who want a persistent profile, selected skin, and account identity, but the first match does not require an account.
Automatic room selection
The lobby checks configured game backends, measures availability, and joins a suitable active room. When no joinable room exists, it can request a new one. Bots occupy open positions so the galaxy remains active while human pilots arrive.
Desktop and mobile
Desktop play uses keyboard movement and mouse aiming. Mobile play uses touch controls and works best in landscape orientation. Graphics quality adapts expensive rendering features for different hardware.
A complete match, not a lightweight demo
The browser version contains the full conquest loop: a large hexagonal world, 35 citadels, seven abilities, combat, respawning, permanent elimination conditions, continents, capitals, supply lines, and the Emperor victory timer.
Browser requirements
Use an up-to-date browser with WebGL, JavaScript, WebSocket support, and hardware acceleration enabled. Stable broadband or mobile data improves realtime state delivery. Closing background tabs and choosing a performance graphics profile can help on older devices.
Privacy and storage
Guest preferences and the reconnect token use browser storage. Registered login uses the configured authentication provider. Read the privacy notice for the data categories and controls.
If you are looking for a browser space game no download, start at Play and enter as a guest.
