Multiplayer conquest that begins instantly

Purge in Space is a free online space game built for players who want strategy and action without installing a large client. Open the play area, choose a pilot name, and enter a galaxy shared with human rivals and autonomous pilots. Movement is immediate, aiming is independent, and every fight matters because the map changes as citadels change hands.

The objective is larger than collecting eliminations. Citadels divide the galaxy into visible territories. Capturing one gives your pilot control of its region and grants an ability while you hold it. Neighboring regions can form continents, create supply lines, and turn a scattered set of bases into a defensible empire.

You can play as a guest without creating an account. Registered pilots can preserve their profile and identity, but an account is never required to learn the game or enter a match.

What makes every match different

The galaxy is a large hexagonal battlefield rather than a narrow arena. That gives you room to choose between direct combat, isolated expansion, defensive consolidation, and attacks against the leader. A player with fewer eliminations can still become dangerous by building a strong territory network.

Seven abilities, one connected strategy

Each citadel carries one ability. Five are passive: fire rate, speed, HP regeneration, fire range, and damage. Two are active: teleportation through Blink and temporary Immunity. Multiple citadels of the same type stack up to the game limit, but those bonuses are never permanent. Lose the citadel and the power disappears.

This creates practical choices. A speed citadel can make your ship harder to catch. Regeneration helps you survive repeated encounters. Range lets you pressure targets before they can answer. Damage and fire rate reward aggression, while Blink and Immunity create tactical moments that depend on timing rather than raw statistics.

Read the complete ability guide before planning a specialized build.

Territory is your real health bar

Your UFO has HP, but your position in the match depends on territory. A pilot who has previously captured citadels can respawn while a base remains. Losing the final base can turn the next defeat into permanent elimination. Capturing, defending, and choosing which enemy citadel to attack are therefore as important as aiming well.

Connected regions create continents. Large continents can award an additional ability stack, and the most important citadel within one becomes its capital. Supply lines make these relationships visible, allowing you to identify valuable connections and vulnerable edges during play.

Designed for desktop and mobile browsers

Purge in Space supports modern desktop and mobile browsers. Desktop pilots use keyboard movement with mouse aiming. Mobile pilots receive touch movement, aiming, firing, and ability controls sized for landscape play. Graphics quality can adapt to the device so that the same galaxy remains playable across a wide range of hardware.

There is no download, installer, or paid entry requirement. The game runs in the browser, and the lobby finds an available match automatically. If no suitable room exists, the service can create one and fill the galaxy with autonomous pilots so that the match begins without waiting for a full human lobby.

Start with knowledge, then build your own style

New pilots should first learn movement, independent aiming, capture timing, and the value of keeping an escape route. After that, experiment. Some players prefer fast territorial expansion. Others hunt exposed rivals or protect a compact cluster of high-value abilities. The game rewards both mechanical control and reading the state of the galaxy.
